JUNE 18 @ BAR MATCHLESS, 557 Manhattan Avenue in Greenpoint. We're very happy to return to Matchless for a show with our friends Workshop Model and two others, TBA. This show will cost $5 and begin at 7, with BT going on at 10. We'll be unveiling a lot of new material that we're stoked to share. Hope to see you out there. 02/26/09 Reunion Show is on. Wednesday March 10 at Public Assembly with the Ever After and Workshop Model. Thanks to Andreas for inviting us onto the show. We're excited to be playing together again and are gonna take it nice and easy, but we were all admittedly anxious to get back to business, hence our involvement with this night. First band on at 8pm, we play at 9. Cover is $7.00 Hope to see you there and thank you for your support. 02/15/09 Gerry, Megan and Matthew are getting back together to see how things go. Along with Brian Seitz this constitutes the first lineup of the band. We might operate under a different band name, at which point, I don't really know what that would look like I guess. It's exciting though, and I think we'll have a good time, nice and easy. 02/11/09 Alison Clancy has invited me to be a part of her cadre of huffing associates in HUFF THIS! Cut and paste this link: www.alisonclancy.com to hear some of the ways she works. She's also been steadfast in referring to me as "Baby Teardrops," and so in that way, has helped cement the moniker to me anyhow. Alison's great and I look forward to the Feb 14th set. I also finally played with my friend Lillie Jayne (www.snakeintheboot.com), someone I'd love to work with, and whom I plan on working with more. Lovely, very talented veteran of music and theater stages. She's extremely busy so we won't get to see too much of one another for now, but I can't want to continue to turn it up. Lastly, Megan and Gerry and I may be reuniting, but I don't know if we'll call it Baby Teardrops or not. May find a new band name. Regardless, I met with Megan last night, and it pretty much looks like SOMETHING is on. :) Stay tuned on that. Thanks for stopping by here. 12/21/09 'Twas the Christmas season, and Matthew Dunehoo was writing songs about suicide and family love and happiness. It was a wintry winter, or it had just become so anyhow. Stockings were hung. I recently went into the studio to record, or rather, replace a version of a song I wrote and recorded late at night a couple of weeks ago. In this song, I tried to create something really beautiful and a bit disturbing, but mostly I was trying to be wonderful. My hope is that 2010 is a large and phosphorescent year, full of money. It is not my whole desire to be cryptic, but it is the only language that ever feels appropo in these situations, ya' dig? I recorded that Christmas music almost, sheesh, five years ago with Mr. Walker back home in Kansas City. I hope you're enjoying it like my grandparents do. But not like Porter does. That girl's gone cuckoo for Christmas Carols! :) . 11/06/09 Zombie Prom on Oct. 29 was a lot of fun, thank you to all friends who came out. Really happy to be playing at LIT Lounge this coming Tuesday night, November 10th. We play at 10pm but don't be late, sharing the stage with Lapis Lazuli, Field Recordings and Sugarlife. LIT's a crazy place, never played there before, but we really would like to shake it. This will probably be the last in a little run of Teardrops shows this autumn and early winter. I'd love to make a new recording, a REAL recording over the winter. There's lots to be done. Please make it out on the 10th is you're so able. See you then, much love. Sincerely, 10/15/09 I can't believe four months have passed since my last posting. Time flying by and it's just simply absurd. I am excited that the band will be playing two shows coming up here soon. Thursday night, Oct. 29 as part of a benefit for Personal Space Theatrics at their ZOMBIE PROM at the Delancey. Second, we're playing on Tuesday Nov. 10th for the first time at LIT LOUNGE, which I'm really looking forward to as well. So much good music to see right now, so many happenings. Hope everyone's well, hope to see you out at a show. Sincerely, 7/20/09 Two acoustic performances in two weeks, Saturday July 11th I was joined by Jocelyne O'Toole, Adam Roddick (of the Royal Chains) Niko Van Egten (of the Glamorous Youth) and Glenn Lucci for a fun performance of originals and covers. A highlight for me was pulling off Anne Murray's version of "Danny's Song." The video of the performance is up on my Facebook page. Things are also progressing with out relationship with designer Je Jung, and our partnership in launching the new men's line "Wrkroom". Soon I will post a link on this site, to their site for a sneak peak at the clothes. I hope everyone's staying healthy and sane this summer, so far. I'm working to do so myself. Sincerely, 7/2/09 Back to being Baby Teardrops the rock band. Shoring up the lineup, excited to be working with some new and wonderful people. Beth Stine has joined the band on bass guitar and she's fabulous. The band also looks to work with fashion designer Je Jung to help with promoting his new line "Wrkroom." Beautiful stuff. Sincerely,
